- The Senior Resource Center acts as a resource center for senior adults in New Hanover County to provide services which promote wellness, encourage independence and enhance quality of life.
- Gerontology is the scientific study of the aging process, including aging individuals and aging populations. This study typically includes biology, sociology, psychology, and clinical practice. Gerontology is needed because most people do not know how to plan for either their own aging or the fact that the older population is growing exponentially.
